There are a total of 207 languages
spoken in the country of India. Many do not have the Bible translated into
them. Here is a layout of the languages in need of, or not in need of, having
the Bible translated into them:
Complete Bible – 62 languages
New Testament only – 42 languages
Portions – 29 languages
None – 73 languages
Note: there is
one language that is questionable as to whether or not the Bible should be
translated into it.
