India, Part 6, Missions Organizations in India

YWAM – Youth With A Mission is a worldwide organization that focuses on bringing young adults into the mission field. Through their Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) they train young people to serve God worldwide.

Gospel Missions in India – GMI does many different things to further His kingdom in India. From starting Christian libraries, to supporting indigenous missionaries, to supporting the translation of the Bible into the various languages spoken there, to creating awareness about our Christian brethren in India to those in the US, GMI is a great place to look if you are interested in getting involved in the lives of your brethren in India in various ways.

Bibles Unbound – Bibles Unbound is a branch of Voice of the Martyrs that focuses on supplying Bibles to needy Christians in hostile countries. Not only do they send Bibles to India, but also to China, Egypt, Pakistan, and other counties. In the country of India alone, there is still a need for about 10,000 Bibles. If your heart goes out to your brothers and sisters in India who are without God’s Word, then Bibles Unbound is a great place to start.

Central India Christian Mission – CICM focuses on leadership training, evangelism, and church planting. It started with one couple and now there are over 500 missionaries involved with CICM.

Forgotten Christmas – Forgotten Christmas is now a part of GFA and works to make people aware of the great amount of hassle and money we spend in the Christmas holidays. It seeks to encourage people to look away from themselves and to their poorer brethren and the lost worldwide who are in need. They promote the use of GFA’s Christmas Catalogue, from which you can buy items for people in India instead of buying things for yourself and your family that you don’t need.

Gospel for Asia – GFA is a huge organization whose arms of love have reached out to thousands, if not millions, of people in India. Through Gospel for Asia you can personally support a child or native missionary, send the missionaries items to help them in their work, buy things for poor families in Asia, and more. GFA promises to send 100% of the money donated to the field. This makes this organization a great place to give.
