Kids Against Hunger - by Cassie

My church youth group went to a branch of Kids Against Hunger, and actually got to pack the food! Kids Against Hunger works with Hope For The Hungry to send food packets to third world countries. In one packet, there is rice, vitamin powder, soy, and vegetables. One package feeds six children. Our youth group went to a packing station, and spent three hours packing up bags. We shipped of 12,000 meals! It was an amazing experience. We even got to try what the food would taste like when it was cooked. It felt wonderful to be there, actually using our hands to send food to starving children.
