What do I do first?

Hey guys! Do you REALLY want to do something BIG for God but just don't know where to start?

You are not alone! I have noticed that most teens want to do something BIG for God REALLY bad, but just don't know where to start, and therefore, they don't do anything at all.

Here's a few things to get you thinking:

1. You don't have to do something big to make an impact. For example: an asteroid makes a huge crater when it hits something, but what happens when you drop a marble in the sand? Well, unless it's really hard sand, it makes a dent. Not so big a hole as the asteroid did, but it still contributes. In the same way, even the little things you do make a difference. Note though, that if God is calling you to do something big, go for it! Don't be held back simply by the belief that you can't; because with God ALL things are possible!

2. Even little things can be hard things. Just because it's little doesn't mean it's easy. Granted, little thing are usually easier things - but don't take that as an invitation!

3. Don't get discouraged. This is something that the MMT team has been difficultly learning over our entire existence. For we have gone through many a challenge already, and we are only a little over a year old. The Devil loves to discourage, and he does so in many ways; either through other people, or stand-stills, or almost anything else. But do not think that all difficulties are discouraging situations from Satan, for some may be tests from God, testing your faithfulness and trust in Him.

4. God is in control. Though thick and thin, sun and snow, good times and bad, God is in control. He knows every breath we have/are/will breathe, every step that we take, and every beat of our hearts and He will never leave us. Therefore, you have nothing to fear. You will not fail if you are doing what God is calling you to do.

How about you? What are you doing to advance the Kingdom? Teens, even though you're a teen, doesn't mean you have to "wait until you grow up" to do something radical for the Lord! Adults, even though you have a million responsibilities, you can still make a difference! Everyone, live out your faith in your actions, words, and attitudes!
